Please join us for an inspiring screening of the award-wining documentary Cookie Queens, a coming-of-age story about girlhood, ambition, and the joys and pressures of Girl Scout Cookie season.
Following the screening, producer Jennifer Sims will join Peekaboo publisher Danielle Keller for a conversation about filmmaking, girlhood, ambition, and, of course...Girl Scout cookies! The event is free to the public, but registration is required. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. The event will be held at Skylight Cinema in Screens 1 & 2. Bentonville Film Festival is honored to partner with Bentonville Public Library for the Stories We Share series program highlighting documentaries about social issues and the work that goes into making stories come alive. Keep an eye out for exclusive access to documentaries; discussions with creators, experts, and changemakers; creator workshops; and the Homegrown series spotlighting local filmmakers.
About the Producer: Jennifer Sims is a documentary producer drawn to stories that live at the intersection of power, belief, and the human heart. Her work explores how individuals navigate systems that shape—and often challenge—their identities, revealing moments of rupture, reckoning, and resilience. She has produced and supervised award-winning documentary series and features for Peacock, A&E, CNN, Amazon Studios, and Netflix as well as independent projects including Cookie Queens, The People vs. the Klan, Surviving R. Kelly: The Reckoning and The Seat. Grounded in deep listening and trust, her producing practice centers the lived experience of her collaborators. She a proud mom and former Girl Scout troop leader.
