Join us September 14th at 4 PM, for a special dedication to the installation of the Cozy Apple in Bentonville Public Library.
In celebration of Bentonville's Sesquicentennial Anniversary in 2023, this installation "crochets" the past with the present. By 1873, Benton County was one of the largest apple producing counties in the nation. The shape of the apple represents the more than 40,000 acres of apple orchards in the area at that time. With the guidance of artist Gina Gallina, the crocheted granny squares that wrap the inflatable apple were handmade and stitched together by a group of dedicated community members.
